5 Stars "Bought this book along with Setting Limits for the Strong Willed Child. Loved both. Life with Toddlers basically applies the same principles, but it is geared towards toddlers. Written by a mom in the thick of toddlerdom, I could relate to almost every word she said. Examples were great and the abc principle was basic, but easy to remember and apply. Truthfully I loved the examples and everyday situations more than I loved the abc tag system. Her advice on stupid food (not just chocolate or cookies) was spot on and now we can almost see the transformation when we give our daughter sugar and when she doesn't have sugary foods. We also loved some of the solutions she suggested, like teaching toddlers signs for basic needs and have started implementing that. Would definitely recommend to anyone with a toddler and already gave my copy to a friend who has a 14 month old." ~ Cassandra
5 Stars "So many books for dealing with toddlers/the terrible twos (that typically start just before two and last well after three) are written from such a clinical perspective that they either bore you to death or you just can't relate. You can relate to this book because the author is a mom who has been through this experience with mulitple toddlers and wrote this book with the help of children's developemental psychologists and pediatricians. It really helped me understand how I could communicate with my toddler better and get MUCH better results and help my child develop into a more well rounded child. I strongly recommend this book for any new mom and/or dad - it will help prepare you for toddlerhood and make it much less stressfull for both you and your child." ~ Collin
4 Stars "Funny - Easy to read but packed with lots of good information. Especially Chapter 4: "Promoting Positive Behavior" and Chapter 8: "Taming Tigers". In Chapter 4, I liked the part of giving choices to your toddler instead of just issuing orders and frustrating them to anger and tears. In Chapter 8: "Taming Tigers" - "But I Waaannnttt It" (How many times have you heard this in Walmart??) - I think these words of wisdom should be posted in the store's lobby. - Loved this book!" ~ Sandi
